“ More of a 3.5, the food doesn't blow you away but it's solid and the prices are pretty decent. The thing that makes this place a 4 is how much of a neighborhood place this feels like, nice guys behind the counter. You're not really going to go wrong. ”
“ Food and Staff are awesome. The shwarma platter is my go to with the red sauce eggplant with rice. I always ask for the spicy sauce on the side. It is a generous amount of tasty food with a smile. If you are in the area stop in for a delicious meal. ”
“ Fantastic, consistent, delicious, well priced. Always kind and fast. Amazing lunch option in park slope. I'm not someone who usually eats the same thing multiple times in a week but I could have their falafel pita every day (I sometimes do) ”
“ Great food and service Fresh and delicious The lamb shawarma in a wrap is perfection ”
“ This is my go to spot for gyros in Brooklyn. Consistently delivers. There might be a better spot but when the craving hits I only hit this place. ”
“ Pita Pan was a really good experience overall, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for flavorful Mediterranean cuisine. I opted for the two meat platter, which, while a little on the expensive side, was absolutely worth it. The platter was generously portioned and bursting with flavor. The lamb and chicken shawarma were cooked to perfection, tender and well-seasoned. However, the real stars for me were the sides--the babaganoush was creamy and rich, and the grape leaves were a perfect blend of savory and tangy. The staff at Pita Pan truly enhance the dining experience. They were not only friendly and inviting but also went out of their way to ensure I had a great meal. Their recommendations on how to customize my order and which sides to pair with my meal were spot on, showing their deep knowledge and passion for the food they serve. In terms of beverages, I decided to try the hibiscus drink since I didn't have any water with me, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was refreshing and had a unique, slightly tart flavor that complemented my meal well. The restaurant offers a good variety of options, which is something I really appreciated. While I didn't have a chance to try their baklava this time, it's definitely on my list for my next visit. The ambiance at Pita Pan is also noteworthy. The outdoor seating area is particularly nice, providing a relaxed and pleasant environment to enjoy your meal. However, I found the indoor dining space to be less appealing. It's not that it's unpleasant, but it doesn't offer anything particularly unique or inviting compared to the outdoor area. Overall, Pita Pan delivers great food for a decent price, making it a place I will definitely be returning to. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty meal or just looking to try something new, this restaurant is a solid choice. ”
“ For the price you're paying, the quality of the food here is amazing! The portion was heavier than I expected, which I appreciate it because I can eat a lot. I got my food within minutes of ordering. While there isn't a lot of seating area, there's just enough to potentially get some work done on your laptop. ”
“ Rotating lamb and chicken really brings the Mediterranean vibe. Kind of looks like a hole in the wall with old decor, several tables for you to dine in. Vast options of having your filling in a wrap, pita, combo platter or rice. Would definitely try their 9.95 lunch special in the future. The SO stated that the lamb wrap was amazing. However, my chicken combo was very dry. I really liked their cold eggplant appetizer. Filling portion and my favorite was their dessert - kunefe. I would come back to try their falafel but would skip out on the chicken. They even offer smoothie and juices. Note theirs a credit card fee, so better to bring cash. ”
“ It's a small little spot and I didn't read the reviews beforehand (rare for me, I usually do!) so I came in with minimal expectations. I was very happy with the result - the lamb shawarma pita was delicious! It was just packed with flavor and the bread was great. I'll definitely come back. Service was friendly and quick too. ”
“ Wow. I was expecting great food. I was not expecting this place to completely change the course of my day. I came here after walking 20 minutes to a doctor's appointment that I found out was scheduled for the following week when I arrived at an empty office. Frustrated, I figured I would grab a nice lunch and remembered Pita Pan is on my way home. I heard about it from the Park Slope FB group where several people swore it is the best falafel around. I arrived and was slightly overwhelmed by the large menu. The owner, Aladdin (yes seriously that's his name - I know, amazing), quickly noticed and jumped in to guide me through the ordering process. He made me a lovely shawarma salad. I then noticed the stuffed grape leaves, so I asked for a side order, but I called them "dolmathes," which is the Greek word for them. After noticing I spoke Greek, he suggested I try the baklava, so I ordered that as well. I made a comment, "Just like grandma used to make!" and he then made me a bowl of lentil soup free of charge. When he handed it too me, he said, "Just like grandma used to make!" My grandma, indeed, did used to make some bangin lentil soup, and their lentil soup was indeed also bangin. Overall, I was blown away by the kindness and compassion shown to me in the exact moment I needed it. It's safe to say Aladdin turned my frown upside down. And every single thing I ate was DELICIOUS. Definitely one of the best stuffed grape leaves I've ever had, and that's saying a lot. I will definitely be back to try more items on this comprehensive menu and to visit my new friend Aladdin. ”
